Arran Smugglers Illicit Stills Vol.1 Whisky 70cl

Arran Distillery is approaching it's 21st year and to celebrate, they have released a rather wonderful series, commemorating its whisky making heritage. The Smuggler's series honours the tradition of the illicit whisky trade that operated from Arran and up the Clyde to Glasgow. The first in this series, the whisky is "smuggled" in a beautiful book style box, with a cut out to place the forbidden goods. Heavier and peatier than most modern releases, this superb whisky is aged in a mixture of Ex bourbon casks and Port pipes, adding a fruity influence to this magical dram.
